Battle Run Campground on Summersville lake  is  located 9 miles  south of Summersville,  on Summersville lake.This is the  largest lake in West Virginia.The water quality is excellent,in fact it is clear as a bell.The bottom can be seen in depths up to 25 feet.Making it a great scuba diving spot.The  sheer sandstone cliffs make Summersville lake look it was craved out of the earth.Like it has always been here.

The campgrounds provide sites for campers as well as tents. If you can rough it in a tent.The overnight price is cheaper than a pull behind camper.All of the usual amenities are here.Bath House with hot showers,restrooms and electrical hookups.Each site has a picnic table and a fire pit. If you have a boat you can tie it off at your site.Boating, jet ski,water-skiing, swimming and even a few sail boats are among the popular pass times at

the lake.Cliff diving is also a regular for the younger crowd,but is prohibited  Fishing for large and smallmouth bass, walleye, panfish, and catfish.

Accessible Boat Ramp,Hiking Trails,Accessible Fishing,Restroom,Swimming(no life guards),Bike Trails,Dump Station,Telephone (only one-bring your cell),Marina,Hot Showers,Playground,horseshoe pit and volleyball court(its made with pea gravel not sand)One more thing bring a bicycle its nice to ride around in the eveing to unwind.

You get all this for $18.00 a night.It will also cost you $ 3.00 to launch your boat.

Located 5 miles south of Summersville, WV on US 19, 4 miles west on WV Route 129. Follow signs to the campground. If you go past the campground for 3 miles You will arrive at Carnifex Ferry Battleground.

I have an account with ReserveAmerica, but am having problems with their Reservations page. (I’ll sort out the technical problem between my computer and ReserveAmerica, when I get home!).

Want to make a RESERVATION please.

Arrival : Sat April 28 for 1 night
20′ trailer + truck. 2 persons, no pets
