Nestled among the pines in the scenic New River Gorge area of West Virginia, The Ponderosa Lodge offers comfortable country style lodging at family prices. Each of our ten rental rooms has a private bath and individually controlled heating and cooling. The entire building is non smoking. All of the exciting outdoor activities that the New River Gorge National River and the Gauley River National Recreation Area are noted for, including whitewater rafting, rock climbing, horseback riding and hiking, are within easy driving distance. With accommodations for 32 people, the Lodge is ideal for large group events such as church retreats, business retreats, family reunions, weddings and anniversaries, and hunting or fishing expeditions. Conveniently located on Route 60, the Midland Trail, The Ponderosa Lodge is an easy 15 minute drive to the New River Bridge and Fayetteville, WV.
With 10 guest rooms, our spacious great room, and large covered deck, The Ponderosa Lodge is the perfect place for a family reunion,wedding, church retreat, or a business retreat. The Lodge can hold up to 32 people comfortably. Our Great Room is ideal for gathering everybody together to visit. In addition, our 800 sq. ft. covered deck has ample seating for groups to meet outside when the weather is pleasant. For groups needing more space, Foster Hill Retreat can hold an additional 8 guests and can be rented for a discounted rate when renting our lodge.
Relax in our spacious great room: The 1300 sq. ft. great room with its ample seating and pleasant ambiance in conjunction with the 600 sq. ft. lounge on the third floor provide plenty of space for large groups to meet and socialize. We offer books, puzzles and games for relaxation and entertainment. The televisions in the great room and third floor lounge have satellite cable and a movie library for all ages.
