While all of the other summer time activities have all been packed up and winterized . The rock climbing community still shows up almost everyday. If only to get in one more climb before winter hits, scratch that it snowed today for the first time this year and a few brave souls showed up. On any given day you can see anywhere from five to fifteen cars parked in the usual place along route 19. On two mile south of Summersville , WV. Climbers have been parking in the same spot for so many years,it’s just to be excepted. Most people visit Summersville for a vacation or a weekend at the Lake .It would seem that more and more people come for the climbing. All the years I have lived in Summersville I have never been down to the cliffs. Boaters seem to enjoy the view from Summersville lake, as they like to watch for their boats. Perhaps one day I will make it down to check on these devoted rock climbers.
I'd would be curious to hear what you think, or any recommendations you have to make it better. Comments are always welcome. Thanks everyone for your patience and support!
